Table: Surface Water Quality Criteria

PURPOSE:

The Department of Environmental Protection (department) is initiating rulemaking to consider proposed revisions to the human health-based surface water quality criteria in Rule 62-302.530, F.A.C., that are designed to ensure that Floridians can safely eat Florida fish and drink local tap water.  The department intends to conduct a state-wide fish consumption survey to accurately determine the amount and types of fish commonly eaten by Floridians in advance of criteria development and adoption.

The department is initiating rulemaking to revise human health-based surface water quality criteria within Rule 62-302.530, F.A.C.
