Overview



	The City of Tallahassee (COT), Leon County, announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	April 10th, 2018, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. EST. Formal presentation begins at 6 p.m.

PLACE:	American Red Cross 1115 Easterwood Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32311

Subject:	The COT will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed median closure on State Road (S.R.) 261 (U.S. 319). The median closure is directly related to the Weems Road Extension project that will connect the terminus of Automotive Way to Weems Road at Mahan Drive which will help alleviate traffic congestion at the U.S. 319 and Mahan Drive intersection. An existing traffic impact assessment has been conducted to evaluate and analyze the impacts associated with the new Weems Road Extension. The proposed median closure is a transportation solution that insures optimal traffic safety operations and provides the best level of service at this location. No right-of-way acquisition is required to construct this project. Construction is anticipated to commence this fall.
