	The Central Florida Expressway Authority announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	August 30, 2018, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Clermont Arts & Recreation Center - Gymnasium: 3700 S. Highway 27, Clermont, FL 34711

Subject:	CFX Project No: 599-225 Project Description: CFX Feasibility & Project Development and Environment Study Lake / Orange County Connector (US 27 to SR 429) The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is conducting a Feasibility and Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study for the proposed Lake / Orange County Connector project. The study will determine if a limited access facility between US 27 in south Lake County and SR 429 in west Orange County is viable and fundable in accordance with CFX policies and procedures. This meeting will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in an open house format at the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center Gymnasium located at 3700 South Highway 27, Clermont, Florida 34711. Community members may come at any point within the advertised time to view the exhibits, to ask questions of study staff and to provide comments. A looping audiovisual presentation providing an overview of the study will be available for viewing throughout the meeting. The overall goals of the Lake / Orange County Connector are to provide improved connections between area roads; accommodate anticipated transportation demand; provide consistency with local and regional plans; support economic viability and job creation; support intermodal opportunities; and enhance evacuation and emergency services. The work includes the evaluation and documentation of the physical, natural, social and cultural environments within the corridors and the potential impacts associated with the various mobility alternatives. Public involvement and interagency coordination are an integral part of the assessment process, and multiple opportunities for participation are being provided.
