Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation District Five, announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Webster Community Hall, 49 S.E. 1st Street, Webster, Florida 33597

Subject:	Financial Management No. 435471-1 Project Description: Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, South Sumter Connector Trail from the Good Neighbor Trail in Hernando County to the Van Fleet Trail/South Lake Trail in Sumter County. This PD&E Study builds on a planning study completed in 2016, and involves engineering and environmental evaluations, and public and agency outreach to assess options for a trail for bicyclists and pedestrians. This section of trail is part of the larger Coast to Coast Trail network, which will extend nearly 250 miles from St. Petersburg to the Canaveral National Seashore in Titusville. This trail segment is proposed to connect the Good Neighbor Trail in Hernando County to the Van Fleet Trail/South Lake Trail in Sumter County by adding a trail along County Road 673, U.S. Highway 301, County Road 478 and State Road 471. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT.
