59A-8.002	Definitions
59A-8.003	Licensure Requirements

PURPOSE:

The Agency is amending the rules related to home health agencies to delete definitions that are obsolete within the rule chapter or are defined elsewhere.  The rule is also amended to update licensing application forms, modify application requirements for non-skilled home health agencies to add skilled services due to statutory changes, make technical changes and clarify requirements relating to surveys.

SUBJECT:

The licensure requirements for home health agencies are being revised to conform to statutory changes in Chapter 400, Part III, F.S. that became effective on July 1, 2018. Rule 59A-8.002 is amended to delete definitions that are obsolete within the rule chapter or are defined in the authorizing statute, Chapter 408, Part II, Florida Statutes or 59A-35, Florida Administrative Code.  Rule 59A-8.003 is amended to update the home health agency licensing application form, modify application requirements relating to the addition of skilled services by a non-skilled home health agency due to statutory changes, and to make technical changes to remove duplicative language found in the authorizing statute and in Chapter 408, Part II, Florida Statutes, and for clarification relating to surveys.
