RULE:

64B15-13.001	Continuing Education for Biennial Renewal
64B15-13.002	Continuing Education Requirements for Reactivation

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendments in Rule 64B15-13.001 are intended to set forth additional entities which are approved as providers for the controlled substance prescribing courses for biennial renewal. The proposed rule amendments in Rule 64B15-13.002 are intended to clarify the requirements for reactivation of an inactive or retired license.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendments in Rule 64B15-13.001 add additional entities which are approved as providers for the controlled substance prescribing courses for biennial renewal.  The proposed rule amendments in Rule 64B15-13.002 clarify the reactivation requirements for reactivation of an inactive or retired license, including the controlled substance prescribing course for licensees registered with the U. S. Drug Enforcement Agency who are authorized to prescribe controlled substances.
