RULE:

6A-10.0315

Demonstration of Readiness for College-Level Communication and Computation

PURPOSE:

To add interim standard scores and effective dates for the Next-generation ACCUPLACER exam in the subject areas of 1) reading, 2) writing and 3) quantitative reasoning, algebra and statistics. College Board anticipates the Classic ACCUPLACER will no longer be an available assessment option after January 2020 as it has been replaced by the Next-generation ACCUPLACER. Including Next-generation ACCUPLACER standard scores provides more opportunities for students to demonstrate readiness for college-level work.

SUMMARY:

Standard scores for the Next-generation ACCUPLACER are not in rule. Additionally, the FCAT score for reading that expired March 2017 and the SAT scores for critical reading and mathematics expired March 2016, respectively, need to be removed.
