6A-3.003

Certification as to Specifications of School Buses

PURPOSE:

To update two publications (Florida School Bus Specifications, Revised 2013 and National School Transportation Specifications and Procedures, May 2010) that are incorporated by reference in this rule. Periodic updates to these publications are necessary to ensure school bus specifications reflect new technology.

SUMMARY:

The deputy commissioner for finance and operations is authorized by section 1006.27, F.S., to coordinate statewide purchasing of transportation equipment, including soliciting and administering bids for new school buses. This amendment will update the Florida School Bus Specifications, Revised 2013 and the National School Transportation Specifications and Procedures, May 2010, which are incorporated by reference in this rule.
