Overview



	The Department of Economic Opportunity announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	In July 2019, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), in cooperation with other agencies, began preparation of the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and Performance and Evaluation Reports (PERs) for Federal Fiscal Year 2018, as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Performance reports must be prepared in accordance with the instructions found in 24 CFR 91.520. The HUD-funded programs covered in the report are the Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) administered by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Program (HOPWA) administered by the Florida Department of Health, the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation. This annual report, prepared according to HUD guidelines, consists of detailed information on grants made to eligible local governments or other awards to eligible entities. On September 12, 2019, the 15-day comment period will begin, and a copy of the draft report will be posted to the Department’s website at: http://www.floridajobs.org/community-planning-and-development/assistance-for-governments-and-organizations/florida-small-cities-community-development-block-grant-program/annual-action-plan The deadline for the consideration of written comments and/or suggestions is 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 27, 2019; comments may be addressed to Ginger Waters with DEO at the address below. Interested citizens may also offer oral comments at the public hearing on September 27, 2019.
