59A-38.004

Administration of the Hospice

PURPOSE:

The Agency is proposing to amend Rule 59A-38.004, F.A.C., Administration of the Hospice, to update language reflecting the change of state outcome measures and survey data to national outcome measures pursuant to F.S. 400.60501(1). Proposed amendments to Rule 59A-38.004, F.A.C. will remove references to the Department of Elder Affairs reporting requirements, timeframes, and submission instructions, and remove outdated forms. The rule will add language included in the federal Code of Regulations (C.F.R.), Part 418, reflective of national quality outcome measures and survey data.

SUBJECT:

The proposed changes will update state hospice outcome measures language to align with the federal Code of Regulations (C.F.R.), Part 418, national hospice quality outcome measures and survey data as required by 400.60501, F.S. The proposed changes will update statutory references, remove language outside the Agency’s authority and remove an outdated form, and an outdated report and survey reference.
