RULE:

68A-17.004

General Regulations Relating to Wildlife and Environmental Areas

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to establish or revise general regulations related to Wildlife and Environmental Areas (WEAs).  The effect of the proposed rule amendment will be to enable the agency to better manage fish and wildlife resources and public use on WEAs.

SUMMARY:

Following recent changes to Section 316.003, F.S., the proposed rule amendment would maintain the status quo regarding electric bicycle use on WMAs such that electric bicycles may only be operated on named or numbered roads except Class 1 electric bicycles are exempt from this restriction and may be operated anywhere non-motorized bicycles may be used unless otherwise prohibited by specific area rule.
