Graduation Requirements for Certain Students with Disabilities (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

The rule is being repealed as s. 1003.438, F.S., was repealed. Starting with the 2014-15 cohort all students have worked toward a standard high school diploma due to the repeal of the special diploma, therefore the rule is no longer needed.

SUMMARY:

Since 2014-15, all students, including those with disabilities, have pursued a standard high school diploma. This has allowed those students who would have previously been considered for a special diploma to earn a standard high school diploma and provided opportunities for students to pursue options such as employment, postsecondary education, and independent living options and skills that were not previously possible with a special diploma.
