68A-13.001

Open Season for Taking Game; Bag and Possession Limits

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to allow free-ranging, unprotected non-native deer of either sex to be harvested without antler, bag and possession limitations during established seasons for taking deer. The effect of the proposed rule amendment would be to exempt non-native deer from regulations designed to manage Florida’s population of native white-tailed deer.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment would allow free-ranging, unprotected non-native deer of either sex to be harvested without antler, bag and possession limitations during established seasons for taking deer.
