Hunting Regulations for Non-Migratory Game and Issuance of Antlerless Deer Permits and Private Lands Deer Management Permits

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to revise regulations pertaining to the youth deer hunt weekend. The effect of the proposed rule amendment will be to better enable participating adults to assist youth hunters during the youth deer hunt weekend.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment would establish that adults may participate in the youth deer hunt weekend provided they do not harvest wildlife with a gun except as allowed during the muzzleloading gun season.
