	The Central Florida Expressway Authority announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	CFX Project No: 599-228 Project Description: CFX Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study Northeast Connector Expressway Phase 1 The Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) is holding a virtual Kick-Off Meeting for the Northeast Connector Expressway Phase 1 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study. This virtual public meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Please pre-register by visiting http://bit.ly/NECpdeMar2021. This link is case sensitive. Meeting attendees will view a presentation about the study and will be able to make comments and ask the study team questions. The Northeast Connector Expressway Phase 1 PD&E Study is evaluating a new 4-mile expressway connection between Nova Road and the proposed Osceola Parkway Extension in Osceola County. This potential new expressway, identified in the CFX 2040 Master Plan, would also provide a north-south connection with three major regional corridors identified in the Governor’s East Central Florida Corridors Task Force recommendations. The goal of this potential new limited-access facility would be to enhance north-south mobility and provide connections between existing and future east-west corridors in the study area. A new expressway would also improve system linkage and regional connectivity, meet social and economic needs, achieve consistency with local plans, provide multimodal opportunities, and improve safety and evacuation routes. All factors related to the location and design of the facility are being considered, including transportation needs, financial feasibility, social impacts, economic factors, environmental impacts, engineering analysis, and right-of-way requirements. Public involvement and interagency coordination are an integral part of the assessment process, and multiple opportunities for participation are being provided.
