Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, March 30, 2021 5:30 p.m.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a hybrid public hearing concerning the State Road 292 (Sorrento Road/Gulf Beach Highway) Project Development and Environment Study (PD&E) in Escambia County. This hearing is being held both virtually and in-person to provide interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning proposed improvements. The hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m. CDT with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period. All attendees will participate in the same live virtual hearing and can access it via computer, tablet, or smartphone. Citizens are strongly encouraged to attend the virtual GoToWebinar platform by registering at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings or by phone in listen-only mode by dialing (562) 247-8422 using access code 425-119-861. Those who are unable to participate virtually may attend the hearing in-person at 105 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL 32507. All attendees MUST register online at the project website to participate. The intent of the study is to evaluate the need for increased capacity, safety improvements, and multi-modal updates to meet future traffic needs on Sorrento Road/Gulf Beach Highway. Maps, drawings and other project information will be available for review online at 12 p.m. March 2, 2021 at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings FDOT requires advance registration to help ensure attendees are accommodated safely in accordance with current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Covid-19 Guidelines. All statements provided, or postmarked, on or before Friday, April 9, 2021 will become a part of the public hearing record. Draft project documents are available for public review through Friday, April 9, 2021, at the Escambia Board of County Commissioners Central Office Complex, located at 3363 West Park Place, FL 32505, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Draft project documents are also available for public review on www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings and will be available at the in-person location.
