	The South Florida Water Management District announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, March 30, 2021, 10:00 AM Celebrate Old Tamiami Trail Roadbed Removal

PLACE:	Old Tamiami Trail Road Project Site Western Miami-Dade County (near Shark Valley Visitor Center) Directions provided below

Subject:	The South Florida Water Management District will celebrate the Old Tamiami Trail Roadbed Removal Project in Western Miami-Dade County. Members of the public are invited to this event. Comfortable closed-toe shoes and business casual attire are recommended. The removal of the Old Tamiami Trail roadbed is a priority Everglades Restoration Project to restore the natural flow of clean freshwater south through the Central Everglades into Everglades National Park. This critical project is a component of the larger Central Everglades Planning Project and is projected to be complete in January 2022. One or more members of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board may be in attendance. No Governing Board action will be taken at this event. The event will be recorded and available for viewing at YouTube.com/SFWMDTV after the event concludes. Directions from District Headquarters, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406: Take Florida’s Turnpike South and use the right two lanes to exit towards Homestead Take Exit 25A and follow signs for Tamiami Trail/SW 8th Street/US-41 and follow for approx. 23.8 miles Turn Left on Shark Valley Road (Shark Valley Road is the entrance to the Everglades National Park) Drive approx. 100-feet and take a Left (Old Tamiami Trail Road) Heading East you will notice event signs posted at various locations along the route as a guide
