Subject:	Round Lake Road Widening & Extension Project Project No.: 20-0902 Lake County is holding a virtual and in-person public meeting on Thursday, April 22, 2021, beginning at 6 p.m., regarding the Round Lake Road Widening and Extension project. The purpose of the project is to address capacity, connectivity and safety needs along Round Lake Road from the Lake/Orange County line to north of State Road (S.R.) 44. The proposed roadway will provide two 12-foot-wide travel lanes in each direction, 5-foot-wide bicycle lanes, full and directional median openings, and dedicated left and right turn lanes in various locations of the project. The design will also include a 12-foot-wide multi-use trail and a 6-foot-wide sidewalk. The design follows the final alignment that was determined during the Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study and approved by the Board of County Commissioners on May 7, 2019. The project will be designed as a four-lane divided roadway. However, the Round Lake Road extension will initially be constructed as a two-lane roadway. It is anticipated that the project will include roundabouts at Sullivan Ranch Boulevard, Wolf Branch Road, Scenic Hills Drive and another location to be determined. Traffic signals will be located at the S.R. 46 and S.R. 44 intersections. Dora Community Building, 520 N. Baker St., Mt. Dora, FL 32757. The County requests advance registration for this option by contacting project consultant Carolyn Fitzwilliam at carolyn.fitzwilliam@qcausa.com or 407-637-7461 to ensure all attendees are accommodated safely and according to social distancing guidelines. The Open House will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Attendees will be able to view a looping video presentation and project displays and speak with project team members.
