Overview



	The Seminole County and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 5:30 p.m.

Subject:	A public hearing will be held regarding intersection improvements on State Road (S.R.) 434 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard (County Road 427) from Milwee Avenue to Oleander Street. (FPID No. 439040-1). This project is being conducted as a partnership between Seminole County and FDOT. The project proposes to improve safety and operations at the intersection by adding a second left turn lane to eastbound and westbound S.R. 434, and adding a right turn lane from eastbound S.R. 434 to southbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Bicycle lanes are planned along S.R. 434 from Wilma Street to Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The project also will reconstruct and upgrade the existing traffic signal. Right of way acquisition will be required to accommodate the proposed improvements. The public hearing is being held to present information and receive community feedback. Seminole County is offering multiple ways for the community to participate in the hearing. All participants, regardless of platform they choose, will participate in the same live hearing. Virtual Option: Interested persons may join the Virtual Public Hearing from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. A VPM is a free live presentation or webinar over the internet. For this option, advance registration is required by visiting the link below. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the hearing online. Phone Option (Listen Only): Participants may join the hearing in listen-only mode by dialing 1-877-594-8353 and entering the passcode 49355681 when prompted. Callers may submit comments directly to the project manager by using the contact information listed at the end of this notice. In-Person Option: Participants may attend in person by going to the City of Longwood Community Building located at 200 W. Warren Avenue, Longwood, FL 32750. Seminole County requests advanced registration for this option to ensure all attendees are accommodated safely and according to social distancing guidelines. To register for the in-person option, please contact the Seminole County Project Manager, Angela Cardona, P.E., by phone at 407-665-5661, by email at acardona02@seminolecountyfl.gov, or U.S. mail at Seminole County Department of Public Works/Engineering Division, 100 E. 1st Street, Sanford, FL 32771. Attendees will be asked to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as well as adhere to any local ordinances. Persons who are not feeling well should not attend the in-person hearing. All hearing materials, including the presentation, will be available on the project website at https://SR434atCR427-ds.hub.arcgis.com prior to the hearing. Also, a recording of the hearing will be available on the website within a week following the hearing. Seminole County is sending notices to all property owners, business owners, interested persons and organizations to provide the opportunity to give comments to Seminole County regarding the S.R. 434 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard Intersection Improvements. The hearing gives everyone an opportunity to express their views about the proposed modifications. While comments about the project are accepted any time, please send your comments by June 1, to be included in the records for this public hearing.
