Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	June 22, 2021, 5:00pm in-person open-house portion, 6:00pm virtual and in-person hearing and testimony.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), in partnership with Manatee County, invites you to a public hearing for the SR 62 at US 301 Realignment Project from 0.13 miles south of the US 301 and Erie Road intersection realigning with SR 62 0.26 miles to the east in Manatee County on June 22, 2021. The in-person open-house will begin at 5 p.m. The virtual and in-person hearing and testimony portion will begin at 6 p.m. The purpose of this project is to evaluate realignment of SR 62 at US 301 in order to improve safety and mobility at the intersection. The public hearing is being held to present information about the preferred alternative and engineering and environmental analysis completed to date. The hearing provides the opportunity for the public to offer feedback on the preferred alternative for the official hearing record. The Department has two ways to participate in the public hearing: online through the project website https://swflroads.com/sr62/at301/ or by attending the public hearing event (either virtually or in person). All hearing materials, including the project video, will be available online one week prior to the hearing event. A copy of these materials will also be displayed at the in-person location. You may choose any combination of the participation options – all will allow you to view the materials, ask questions, and submit your comments. Project documents will be available for public viewing on the project website and also will be available from June 1, 2021 to July 7, 2021 at FDOT District One Manatee Operations Center, 14000 East SR 64, Bradenton, Florida 34212 and at Rocky Bluff Branch Library, 6750 US Highway 301 North, Ellenton, Florida 34222. FDOT is sending notices to all property owners, businesses, interested persons and organizations to provide the opportunity to participate in this hearing. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, please send your comments by July 7, 2021, to be included in the formal public hearing record. A summary of the hearing comments and responses will be available on the website approximately 30 days following the close of the comment period. FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
