Florida Building Code Adopted

PURPOSE:

House Bill 401 (2021), Senate Bill 286 (2021), and Senate Bill 804 (2021) made changes to statutory provisions which are included in the Florida Building Code. In order to reflect these changes, the Florida Building Commission must amend the Code. Additionally, House Bill 401 provides a mechanism for the Commission to issue errata to the Code to list demonstrated errors in its provisions. The Commission intends to solicit public comment regarding any potential errors present in the Code, and conduct a rule development workshop to consider issuing errata pursuant to the new provisions of House Bill 401.
