Overview



	The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Public Comment Period – July 20, 2021 through August 4, 2021. Public Hearing – July 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Subject:	The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), in cooperation with other agencies, requests public comment on the FFY 2021 Annual Action Plan for Housing and Community Development (“FFY 2021 Annual Action Plan”) prior to submitting it to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The HUD-funded programs in the FFY 2021 Annual Action Plan are the Florida Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) administered by DEO, the Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families, the Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Program (HOPWA) administered by the Florida Department of Health, the Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) and Housing Trust Fund (HTF) administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation. The Draft FFY Annual Action Plan is available for public review and comment prior to submission of the plan to HUD. The 15-day comment period will begin on July 20, 2021 and will end on August 4, 2021. The draft of the Action Plan will also be posted on DEO’s website: http://floridajobs.org/community-planning-and-development/assistance-for-governments-and-organizations/florida-small-cities-community-development-block-grant-program/annual-action-plan. Written comments on the drafted Action Plan are encouraged and may be made at the public meeting, emailed to cdbg@deo.myflorida.com or mailed to: Florida Small Cities CDBG Program, 107 East Madison St., MSC-400, Tallahassee, FL 32399.
