	The The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

PLACE:	To attend the Public Hearing virtually online: From a computer, tablet, or smartphone, register at www.miamidade.gov/ludlamtrail. To avoid delays, please register in advance. Limited space is available at the Miami-Dade County Main Library, located at 101 West Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33130. Free parking is available (with validated ticket provided by the County at the Public Hearing) at the Cultural Center parking garage located at 50 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33128. All current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and social distancing rules will be observed. Masks are required. Following the event, the presentation and a recording of the Public Hearing will be available online at www.miamidade.gov/ludlamtrail.

Subject:	GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces is performing a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study for the 5.6-mile-long Ludlam Trail Corridor from SW 80th Street to 400 feet north of NW 7th Street, between 69th and 70th Avenues, within the former railroad right-of-way. The project is located in unincorporated Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami, Florida. The purpose of the Ludlam Trail is to provide a new shared-use trail in Miami-Dade County that will include safe, dedicated, direct pathways for walking, running and cycling; to encourage active lifestyles and the use of green non-motorized modes of transportation; and to enhance overall connectivity and accessibility between schools, parks, transit stops and residences, workplaces and shopping. Miami-Dade County Project Number: 403502-15-001 State Financial Management Number: 444236-1-22-01 Federal Aid Project ID: N/A Efficient Transportation Decision Making (ETDM) Number: 14369 Project documents will be available for public viewing from Tuesday, August 3 through Tuesday, September 14, 2021at the following locations: Fairlawn Branch Library, 6376 SW 8th Street, West Miami, FL 33144 Monday - Friday 9:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. A.D. Barnes Park Rental Office, 3401 SW 72nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33155 Seven days a week 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 14, 2016 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and FDOT. This Public Hearing is intended to fulfill the requirements of Chapter 86-308, Laws of Florida, designating Calle Ocho as a State Historic Highway. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status. All statements received or postmarked on or before September 14, 2021 will become part of the Public Hearing record. In the event of a tropical storm or hurricane, the alternate Public Hearing date is September 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County Main Library, in which case, all statements received or postmarked on or before October 19, 2021 will become part of the Public Hearing record.
