Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	The In-Person Construction Open House will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the Virtual Public Meeting will be held Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Subject:	Financial Management No.: 441462-1-52-01 Project Description: SR 822/Sheridan Street over the Intracoastal Waterway, Broward County. Project improvements include the following: • Installing bicycle-friendly / anti-slip walking plates along the moveable spans • Removing existing curb and adding a 4-foot traffic railing between the sidewalk and roadway • Removing and replacing the outer pedestrian railing • Adding new pedestrian gates in each direction • Renovating the existing tender house • Upgrading electrical and mechanical components, and access platforms on the bridge Construction will begin January 22, 2022 and is estimated to be completed in Late 2022. The estimated construction cost is $12,200,214. The in-person Construction Open House will have project representatives available to answer questions and provide assistance at any time during the meeting. The Virtual Public Meeting will consist of a brief presentation followed by a question & answer segment and comments from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and again from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Project staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Questions will be answered as time allows and, in the order received. If your question is not addressed during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the Virtual Public Meeting.
