PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule development notice is to address the possible amendments to the shrimp rules.  The effect of the new rules would be to modify recreational shrimp rules and commercial food shrimp production rules, clarify boundaries, correct a license name, and revise definitions.

SUBJECT:

Subject areas addressed in the rule development notice include live bait shrimp trawls and production, definitions, recreational shrimping regulations, commercial food shrimp production, and closed areas.
