Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	The Virtual Public Meeting will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the in-person Construction Open House will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	The in-person Construction Open House will be held at the Hillsboro Beach Town Hall, located at 1210 Hillsboro Mile Hillsboro Beach, FL 33062. Subject:	Financial Management No.: 441360-1-52-01 Project Description: SR A1A Mobility Improvements Project from Southern Town Limit of Hillsboro Beach to Southeast 3rd Street, Broward County. Project improvements include the following: • Milling and resurfacing the existing travel lanes • Widening the roadway to accommodate designated bike lanes • Adding a sidewalk along the west side of the roadway between Opal Towers and SE 10th Street • Upgrading existing mid-block pedestrian crossings with Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Signs • Raising the roadway elevation from 900 Hillsboro Mile to south of Le Baron Apartments Construction will begin June 17, 2022, and is expected to be completed in Summer 2023. The estimated construction cost is $6,377,643. The in-person Construction Open House will have project representatives available to answer questions and provide assistance during the meeting. The Virtual Public Meeting will consist of a brief presentation followed by a question & answer segment and comments from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and again from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Project staff will be available to answer questions and provide assistance. Questions will be answered as time allows and in order received. If your question is not addressed during the event, a response will be provided in writing following the Virtual Public Meeting.
