	The Office of Energy (FDACS OOE) announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	June 3, 2022, 10:00 a.m.

PLACE:	Seminole State College, UP building. Room UP-1206A+B 100 Weldon Blvd, Sanford, FL 32773

Subject:	Under contract with FDACS OOE, the Balmoral Group is conducting an Energy Equity Study on energy equity issues across the state, including critical data to assist policymakers with an understanding of Florida’s energy-burdened households. The objective of the project is to understand the statewide distribution of benefits and burdens from energy production and consumption, and the disproportionate impact of environmental hazards on low- and moderate-income Floridians and vulnerable populations, including minorities and rural communities. As part of the study, a workshop is scheduled to discuss Geography & Demography of Energy Burden, Environmental Justice, and Health & Housing issues for low and moderate income (LMI) households. This is the Central Florida region workshop. The workshop is open to the public to attend, and the public is invited to participate in this, and other workshops scheduled throughout the State, including in the Tampa Bay area, Tallahassee, and South Florida.
