Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, August 23, 2022 (virtual webinar) at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 24, 2022 (in-person meeting) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The in-person public meeting will take place at the Jupiter Branch Library, 705 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida 33458. The latest social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four, will conduct a hybrid Public Meeting for the State Road (SR) 706/Indiantown Road from Florida’s Turnpike to Central Boulevard project in Palm Beach County, Florida, Financial Project ID Number: 439758-1-52-01. This project is being conducted to improve traffic operations, mobility and safety and enhance bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The public meeting is being held to provide information about the proposed improvements to SR 706/Indiantown Road from Florida’s Turnpike to Central Boulevard. This will consist of re-aligning and widening of the I-95 northbound to eastbound off-ramp at SR 706/Indiantown Road and the inclusion of a new signal for the exit ramp. Other improvements include: widening SR 706/Indiantown Road to provide an additional lane in each direction between I-95 and Central Boulevard, widening of the bridge over the C-18 Canal in both directions, new bike lanes along eastbound and westbound SR 706/Indiantown Road from Island Way to Central Boulevard, new sidewalk from the entrance of Florida’s Turnpike to Island Way, pavement resurfacing, and updated signage, and pavement markings. Construction is scheduled to begin in Fall 2023 and end in Fall 2025. The Construction Cost is estimated as $ 7.5 Million. The virtual webinar on August 23, 2022, will begin with a brief presentation at 5:00 p.m. Questions and comments may be submitted during the meeting via the online chat for project representatives to address or by email to the Project Manager. The in-person Public Meeting on August 24, 2022, will be held in an open house format from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In-person attendees may submit verbal or written comments at the meeting.
