Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation, District One announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public hearing for the US 27 Median Modification Safety Improvements (FPID 449659-1) from Ridgewood Lakes Boulevard to Hughes Road in Polk County on Thursday, September 22, 2022. FDOT is conducting this project to construct median modifications at Paradise Island Place, West Johnson Avenue, Patterson Road, South Boulevard, and Holly Hill Tank Road to address safety. The public hearing is being held to present information about the modifications and provides the opportunity for the public to offer feedback for the official hearing record. You can participate in the public hearing live online or in-person. The same materials will be displayed at both the online and in-person events. LIVE ONLINE OPTION: Attend virtually on September 22 starting at 6 p.m. This event will include a livestream of the in-person location and the ability to make verbal comment. The formal presentation and testimony portion will begin at 6 p.m., but an overview for how to submit comments will start at 5:45 p.m. Register in advance by visiting https://tinyurl.com/US27hearing. Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the hearing online. Registrants will also receive hearing materials in advance to review prior to the hearing by email. Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend this event. IN-PERSON OPTION: Attend the in-person hearing on September 22, at Lake Eva Event Center, 799 Johns Avenue, Haines City, FL 33844. The open-house portion will begin at 5 p.m., where attendees can view a copy of the project materials and talk to the project team. The formal presentation and testimony portion will begin at 6 p.m. FDOT is sending a notice to adjacent property owners and tenants and to other public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project.
