Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation District Six announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.

PLACE:	The Public Kick-off Meeting will be held for the public on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attend in person at North Shore Youth and Park Center, 501 72nd Street, Miami Beach, FL. 33141. The in-person meeting will be in compliance with all current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and social distancing will be followed. Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Six, has scheduled a Public Kick-off Meeting to discuss the State Road (SR) 934/NE 79th Street (John F. Kennedy Causeway) Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The project identification number is 449007-1-22-01. The objective of this study is to evaluate bridge replacement alternatives to address structural deficiencies of four existing bridges (two bridge pairs) along SR 934/NE 79th Street. The public meeting is an opportunity to provide attendees with a short presentation of the study, including existing as well as social, environmental and economic effects, followed by a question-and-answer session. Questions will be responded to as time permits, in the order received. If your question is not responded to during the meeting, a response will be provided in writing. Persons wishing to submit statements, in place of or in addition to oral statements, may do so at the meeting or by sending them to the Community Outreach Specialist. All statements postmarked on or before November 4, 2022, will become part of the meeting record. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by Federal Highway Administration and FDOT. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
