	The The Florida Department of Transportation, District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Virtual - Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 5:30 p.m./ In Person - Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 5:30 p.m.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four, will be hosting a Public Meeting regarding the resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation of State Road (SR) 5/Federal Highway from south of 10th Avenue South to 6th Avenue North. The project includes installing pedestrian countdown signal features at the signalized intersections, installing two mid-block crosswalks at 8th Avenue South and 3rd Avenue North, raising the intersection at 7th Avenue South, and raising the crosswalk between 4th Avenue North and 5th Avenue North. Additional improvements include reconstructing substandard sidewalk curb ramps, upgrading lighting to better illuminate pedestrian crosswalks at 6th Avenue South and 2nd Avenue North, and upgrading existing signing and pavement markings. The Public Meeting will be held virtually and in-person. The online session will begin on Thursday, October 20, at 5:30 p.m. with a brief presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. followed by questions and comments from the public. The in- person session will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
