Overview



	The Lake County announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, December 8, 2022, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

PLACE:	Cadwell Community Center, 1 Cassady Street, Umatilla, FL 32778

Subject:	Lake County will host a public meeting for the North Lake Trail Phase 3 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. The study is evaluating alternatives for the North Lake Trail Phase 3, a segment of the River to Hills regional trail. This study will focus on the trail segment from E. Altoona Road to State Road 40, which is approximately 16 miles in length. This trail is located within unincorporated Lake County, the Ocala National Forest, Altoona, and Astor Park. The meeting will be held as an open house with no formal presentation. Participants may review project information, provide comments, and discuss the project with the study team at any time throughout the meeting. Information about nearby projects (such as the North Lake Trail design project from E. Collins Street to E. Altoona Road in Umatilla) will also be available for review. Meeting information and displays will also be available for review on the project website (www.NorthLakeTrail.com/Outreach) by December 5th. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require language translation or interpretive services, which are provided at no cost, or those requiring special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) may request assistance by contacting Sharon Lewis, Lake County Title VI/Nondiscrimination and ADA Coordinator, at 352-253-9050 or Sharon.Lewis@lakecountyfl.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by Lake County pursuant to 23 U.S.C. §327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022 as executed by the Federal Highway Administration and the Florida Department of Transportation.
