Overview



	The The Florida Department of Transportation, District One announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	Turner Agri Civic Center, 2250 NE Roan St, Arcadia, FL 34266

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invites you to a public workshop for the State Road 70 (S.R.) design project from Peace River to SE Baker Street in DeSoto County. The purpose of the project is to mill and resurface S.R. 70 with additional ADA improvements along the corridor You can participate in the public workshop in-person or view items from the meeting virtually. Materials presented at the workshop will be made available on the project website (https://www.swflroads.com/project/441562-1) The in-person public workshop will be held on December 8, 2022, at the Turner Agri Civic Center, 2250 NE Roan St, Arcadia, FL 34266. The in-person workshop will be in an “open house” format from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Questions can be answered by calling the FDOT project manager, Kara Davis at (863) 519-2369 or email at kara.davis@dot.state.fl.us. After reviewing the public workshop materials, and/or participating, you may submit comments in three different ways: 1) on the project website; 2) emailing the FDOT Project Manager Kara Davis at kara.davis@dot.state.fl.us; or 3) mailing comments to Kara Davis at FDOT District One, P.O. Box 1249, Bartow, FL 33831-1249. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, please note that comments must be received or postmarked by December 22, 2022, to be included in the formal public workshop record. The FDOT solicits public participation without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
