Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	The in-person session will be at the Fred Lippman Multi-Purpose Center, located at 2030 Polk Street, Hollywood, FL 33020. Subject:	Financial Management No.: 441582-1-52-01 and 439991-1-52-01 Project Description: SR-5/US-1/Federal Highway from SR-824/Pembroke Road to SR-822/Sheridan Street Avenue in Broward County, FL. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing along the project limits, modifying pavement markings along SR-5/US-1/Federal Highway to accommodate 4-foot bicycle lanes in each direction, installing 138 new light poles and upgrading existing lighting to LED along the corridor, replacing concrete sidewalk with pavers from Monroe Street to Van Buren Street and from Polk Street to Fillmore Street, removing existing pavers at the signalized intersections between Van Buren Street and SR-824/Pembroke Road, and installing decorative stamped asphalt crosswalks at all signalized intersections. Construction will begin in January 2023 and is estimated to be completed in Early 2024. The estimated construction cost is $7,152,129. The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The virtual public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public. The in-person open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
