Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Monday, December 12, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	The in-person session will be at Mullins Park (in Mullins Hall), located at 10170 NW 29 Street, Coral Springs, FL 33065. Subject:	Financial Management No.: 431756-1-52-01, 02 & 431756-2-52-01, 02 Project Description: SR-817/University Drive from SR-834/Sample Road to SR-869/Sawgrass Expressway in Broward County, FL. The project improvements consist of widening to accommodate two additional travel lanes and to increase the bike lanes from 4-feet to 7-feet from NW 40th Street to SR-869/Sawgrass Expressway, relocating existing 6-foot sidewalk from NW 40th Street to SR-869/Sawgrass Express, relocating impacted drainage structures, regarding swales to ensure proper drainage flow, upgrading traffic and pedestrian signals at NW 40th Street and Westview Drive, installation of 77 light poles along the project corridor, milling and resurfacing within the project limits, and upgrading curb ramps, signing, and pavement markings. Construction will begin in January 2023 and is estimated to be completed in Summer 2024. The estimated construction cost is $13,650,945. The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The virtual public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public. The in person open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
