Appointment of Veterans

PURPOSE:

To direct attention to veteran preference considerations during the employee appointment process including the updated requirements of Chapter 295, Florida Statutes, which remove the earlier Florida residency requirement.

SUMMARY:

The proposed amendment reflects the updated statutory requirements for veteran’s preference.
