Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation, District One announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, January 26, 2023, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (in-person); Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. (online only)

PLACE:	In-person at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, 75 Taylor St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950; Online through a computer, tablet, or mobile device (register by visiting bit.ly/TamiamiTrailPublicMeeting)

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, invites you to the public meeting for the Northbound Tamiami Trail (US 41/SR 45) Complete Street Improvements (Financial Project No.: 441524-1-32-01). The project specifically includes roadway, pedestrian, and bicycle safety improvements along Northbound Tamiami Trail from William Street to Peace River Bridge in Downtown Punta Gorda, Charlotte County. The public meeting is being held to present information and gather public input on the proposed design of the improvements. There are two ways to participate in the public meeting: attend the in-person event or register for and join the live online (virtual) event. IN-PERSON EVENT: The in-person event will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, 75 Taylor St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. This event will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. LIVE ONLINE EVENT: Attend virtually from a computer, tablet, or mobile device on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Please register in advance by visiting bit.ly/TamiamiTrailPublicMeeting or the project website at https://www.swflroads.com/project/441524-1. Once registered, attendees will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online. Please note, Internet Explorer cannot be used to register or attend the live online (virtual) event. All meeting materials will be available online for viewing through the project website (https://www.swflroads.com/project/441524-1) starting January 19, 2023. A copy of these materials will also be displayed at the in-person and live online (virtual) events. The same material will be presented at both events. You may choose any combination of the provided options to review the materials and submit your comments. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, comments must be received or postmarked by February 10, 2023, to be included in the formal public meeting record. A summary of the meeting comments and responses will be available on the website approximately 30 days following the close of the comment period.
