	The Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Monday, June 12, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Project Open House at the Miami-Dade County North Central Branch Library, 9590 NW 27th Ave., Miami, Florida 33147

Subject:	Notice is hereby given that Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) has scheduled a Project Open House regarding the Miami-Dade Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Program Northeast Corridor Rapid Transit Project’s proposed transit vehicle maintenance facility on Monday June 12, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Miami-Dade County North Central Branch Library, 9590 NW 27th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33147. Registration is not required to participate in the Project Open House. Interested persons may drop by any time between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to view project maps and speak with the Northeast Corridor study team. The Northeast Corridor is one of the five rapid transit corridors of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Program. A Documented Categorical Exclusion (DCE) for the Northeast Corridor is being prepared to satisfy the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This 13.5-mile-long corridor will run from MiamiCentral station in Downtown Miami to the City of Aventura along the existing Florida East Coast (FEC) railway line. As part of this project, five new commuter rail stations and their associated park and ride sites are planned along the FEC Railway. Also, a train vehicle maintenance facility is planned at an existing rail yard, located at 9400 NW 37th Avenue in Miami. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
