Overview



	The The Lee County Department of Transportation (LCDOT), in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Tuesday, June 20, 2023 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Participate in person at Florida Southwestern State College, Lee Campus, U Building, Room U102, 8099 College Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33919 or virtually from your computer, tablet, or mobile device, please visit www.capecoralbridgeproject.com.

Subject:	The Lee County Department of Transportation (LCDOT), in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One invites you to an Alternatives Workshop for the Cape Coral Bridge Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study to assess improvements to the Cape Coral Bridge, which provides a connection between the Cities of Cape Coral and Fort Myers. The study is focused on the bridge and roadway approaches from Del Prado Blvd. to McGregor Blvd., a distance of 2.1 miles. The Alternative Workshop is being held to give interested parties an opportunity to learn about the Cape Coral Bridge PD&E Study and to provide feedback on the status of the study. The workshop materials, including maps and a chart comparing the potential effects and cost of each alternative, will be displayed. Lee County has two ways to participate in the workshop, in person or virtually. The same materials will be displayed in-person and online and will be posted for 21 days, from Tuesday, June 20, 2023 through Tuesday, July 11, 2023, on the project website, www.capecoralbridgeproject.com. IN-PERSON OPTION: Attend in-person on June 20, 2023, at Florida Southwestern State College Lee Campus, U Building, Room U102, 8099 College Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33919. The workshop will be an open-house style from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where attendees can view the project materials and talk to the project team. VIRTUAL OPTION: Attend virtually from Tuesday, June 20, 2023 to Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at the project website www.capecoralbridgeproject.com. Workshop materials will be posted to the project website by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. After reviewing the workshop materials, and/or participating, you may submit comments in four ways: 1) submit written comments at the in-person workshop; 2) email the project team at info@capecoralbridgeproject.com; 3) go to the project website at www.capecoralbridgeproject.com; or 4) mail comments to Lee County Department of Transportation. Attention: Vince Miller, P.E., 1500 Monroe St., Fort Myers, FL 33901. While comments about the project are accepted at any time, please note that comments are requested to be received or postmarked by Tuesday, July 11, 2023 to be included in the formal Alternatives Workshop record. Lee County is sending the attached notice to all property owners and tenants within at least 300 feet on either side of the project and to other officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project.
