Overview



	The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	June 29, 2023, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Polk State College – Winter Haven, Room WST-126, 999 Avenue H Northeast, Winter Haven, FL 33881

Subject:	The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) will hold Community and Stakeholder Workshops to provide an overview on the Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and the upcoming State of Florida Action Plan for Hurricane Ian. The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that the State of Florida will receive $910,624,000 in funding to support long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Ian. CDBG-DR funding is designed to address needs that remain after all other assistance has been exhausted. These workshops provide information on the next steps for the State of Florida, community partners, and local governments, and to request input and feedback from the community and stakeholders on unmet needs in their local communities. Participants will be given a brief overview of the CDBG-DR program and will have opportunity to ask any questions they may have of staff.
