Exemptions and Waivers

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rule is to clarify the exemption from the requirement of public employees to complete an Employee Organization Membership Authorization Form, provided in subparagraph 6. of section 447.301(1)(b), F.S., as amended by chapter 2023-35, section 1, L.O.F.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule limits the application of a statutory exemption  to members of bargaining units that include public safety employees specified in the exemption provision of the law.
