Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four, announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	VIRTUAL: Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 5:00 p.m. IN-PERSON: Thursday, July 27, 2023, 5:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Open House; 5:30 p.m. Formal Presentation

PLACE:	Virtual: Persons who do not wish to attend the Public Hearing in person can join virtually by registering using the following link https://tinyurl.com/AtlanticAveSR806. If using a mobile device, the free “GoToWebinar” application is required to attend. Please allow adequate log-in time to view the presentation in its entirety. In-Person: The Public Hearing will be held at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library, 14350 Hagen Ranch Road, Delray Beach, FL 33446. The same information will be presented at both the virtual and in-person Public Hearing, so attending both is not necessary.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Four, will be hosting a Public Hearing for the Atlantic Avenue Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study (FPID 440575-3-22-02) to widen the roadway from Turnpike to Jog Road. The purpose of this project is to address capacity needs to meet the existing and future travel demand (4 to 6 lanes) and to improve the local and regional network, while providing enhanced safety for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The public hearing is held to present information about the preferred alternative and engineering and environmental analysis completed to date and to provide the opportunity for the public to offer feedback for the official hearing record. Comments can be provided during the hearing event or through the project webpage www.fdot.gov/projects/atlanticavepde. All comments must be submitted by August 7, 2023, to be included in the formal hearing record. Project documents will also be available for public viewing from July 5, 2023 to August 7, 2023, at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library, 14350 Hagen Ranch Road, Delray Beach, FL 33446. They will also be available on the project webpage. FDOT is sending notices to all property owners and tenants within at least 300 feet on either side of the project and to other public officials, regulatory agencies, organizations, and individuals interested in the project. In the event, that the Public Hearing cannot be held on July 26, 2023 (Virtual) or July 27, 2023 (In-Person) due to severe weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will be held on the alternate date of August 9, 2023 (Virtual) and August 10, 2023 (In-Person) at the same time and place. The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by the FDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated May 26, 2022 and executed by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and FDOT.
