Overview

RULE:

64B6-8.003

Trainee Stages, Minimum Training Requirements, and Training Programs

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule incorporates two updated Department of Health forms regarding Hearing Aid Specialists training program.  Primarily the changes to the forms are necessary to clarify that program only applies to prescription hearing aids and does not apply to over-the-counter hearing aids.  There are also other minor changes to the forms such as updating the existing email address.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendment updates and incorporates Hearing Aid Specialist Application for Examination, Form DH-MQA 1155 and Training Program Continuation Request, Form DH-MQA 1160 for licensures by examination.
