Overview



	The St. Johns River Water Management District and the Suwannee River Water Management District (Districts) announces a workshop to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, September 20, 2023, Posterboard Session starts at 2:00 pm and the Webinar Presentation starts at 2:45 pm.

PLACE:	St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Governing Board Room, 4049 Reid Street, Palatka, FL 32177 The workshop can be attended in person or viewed on-line by webinar. The workshop will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a 45-minute in-person posterboard session (poster display and opportunity for in-person attendees to ask questions) followed by an in-person and on-line presentation of the draft 2023 NFRWSP at 2:45 p.m. to maximize the opportunity for public participation. The webinar is free to attend and can be accessed from a computer, tablet, or smartphone in listen only mode – no comments will be received from the online audience. Following the presentation of the draft 2023 NFRWSP, verbal comments will be received from those attending in person. Written comments can be submitted via the comment portal on the NFRWSP webpage (https://northfloridawater.com/watersupplyplan/index.html) or via email to partnership@sjrwmd.com through October 6, 2023. Subject:	The North Florida regional water supply planning area is a planning region located within both of the Districts. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a Draft 2023 North Florida Regional Water Supply Plan (NFRWSP) workshop for the public regarding the update of the 2015-2035 NFRWSP. Pursuant to section 373.709(1), Florida Statutes, this workshop will communicate the status, overall conceptual intent, and impacts of the plan on existing and future reasonable-beneficial uses and related natural systems. The North Florida Regional Water Supply Partnership is a collaborative effort among government agencies formed to address water resource issues in portions of both Districts. The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) is conducting a similar workshop of the same content. One or more Governing Board members from the Districts named above may attend the Draft 2023 NFRWSP Public Workshop.
