	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:	Financial Project Identification Numbers: 437155-1, 437155-5, 437155-6 Project Description: Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) Widening and Interchange Improvements from south of NW 8th Street to north of Commercial Boulevard (CR 870) The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise will hold a Public Information Meeting for the design of the Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) Widening and Interchange Improvements from south of NW 8th Street to north of Commercial Boulevard (CR 870). This meeting will give interested persons an opportunity to review the project design and ask questions about the proposed improvements. The design project for the Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) widening and interchange improvements from south of NW 8th Street to north of Commercial Boulevard (CR 870), is adding capacity to meet future transportation demand and to improve safety. The proposed improvements include widening this segment to increase the number of lanes from six (6) to ten (10) lanes, as well as improvements at four (4) existing interchanges: Sunrise Boulevard (CR 838), Pat Salerno Drive, Oakland Park Boulevard (CR 816), and Commercial Boulevard (CR 870). As part of the project, a new interchange connecting to Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) will be included at NW 8th Street. The projects will also include milling and resurfacing, bridge improvements/replacements, and stormwater drainage improvements. Noise walls will be constructed within the project limits in qualifying areas. Displays that illustrate the proposed improvements will be available at the meeting, along with informational videos. All meeting materials will be available for review the day of the virtual meeting on the project website, www.SawgrassNW8thtoCommercial.com. The Enterprise will provide several options to participate in the meeting. You may participate virtually/online via a computer, tablet, smartphone, or telephone in listen-only mode on September 25, 2023, at 12 p.m. Alternatively, you may participate in person on September 26, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the New River Civic Center, located at 60 Weston Road, Sunrise, FL 33326. The information presented at all attendance options will be the same.
