Overview



	The Department of Transportation District 2 announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Nov. 2, 2023, 4:30 to 6 p.m.

PLACE:	In person: Center Point Church, 1650 Blanding Boulevard, Middleburg, FL 32068; online: NFLRoads.com/VPH; by phone: (914) 614-3221, access code 517-724-347.

Subject:	FDOT is considering modifications to the existing median located on Blanding Boulevard (State Road 21) south of Knight Boxx Road in Clay County. Proposed improvements include converting the existing full median opening in front of the Clay Shopping Plaza into a directional median, eliminating through access for drivers entering and exiting both northbound and southbound shopping plazas. This project was designed to reduce crashes for traffic entering and exiting the median and help improve safety along the corridor. Attendees who complete a speaker’s card will have the opportunity to make an oral statement that will become part of the public record. Persons wishing to submit written statements or other exhibits in place of or in addition to oral statements may do so at the meeting or by sending them to Matthew.Nance@dot.state.fl.us or mailing FDOT Traffic Safety Engineer Matthew Nance, 2198 Edison Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida 32204. Exhibits or statements postmarked on or before Nov. 12, 2023 will become part of the public record.
