Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	The in-person session will be at the FDOT District Four Auditorium, located at 3400 W Commercial Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. Subject:	Financial Management No: 446185-1-52-01 Project Description: State Road (SR) 5/US 1/Federal Highway Improvements Project from NE 17th Way to NE 33rd Court in the Cities of Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park. The project improvements consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway, modifying pavement markings along SR 5/US 1/Federal Highway to accommodate 4-foot bicycle lanes in each direction, extending the northbound left-turn lane on SR 5/US 1/Federal Highway at NE 26th Street to increase vehicle storage capacity, upgrading existing signalization and lighting with LED fixtures at various locations, upgrading signage, pavement markings, sidewalks, and curb ramps. Construction will begin in November 2023 and is estimated to be completed in Fall 2024. The estimated construction cost is $8,153,789. The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The virtual public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public. The in-person open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
