Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Monday, October 30, 2023, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

PLACE:	Miami Springs Aquatic Center, Multi-purpose Room, 1401 Westward Drive, Miami Springs, FL 33166.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host a public meeting both in-person and virtually, for the State Road (SR) 948/NW 36 Street from SR 826/Palmetto Expressway to SR 5/US 1, in Miami-Dade County. This planning study is evaluating and developing improvements to address existing and future multimodal needs along the corridor. Additionally, FDOT will also be presenting the NW 67 Avenue Corridor Improvements Study. The NW 67 Avenue corridor is approximately 0.81 miles long from SR 948/NW 36 Street and NW 22 Street, which is adjacent to the western section of the Miami International Airport (MIA) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. This corridor study will identify congestion management, safety mitigation strategies, multimodal and accessible transportation options, and innovative technology to improve overall quality of life along NW 67 Avenue. The NW 67 Avenue study area is divided into the following four segments: • NW 36 Street (from NW 72 Avenue/Milam Dairy Road to NW 57 Avenue/Curtiss Parkway) • Perimeter Drive (from NW 67 Avenue to NW 57 Avenue/Curtiss Parkway) • NW 67 Avenue (from NW 36 Street to NW 22 Street • NW 25 Street (from NW 72 Avenue to NW 67 Avenue) Both studies’ identification number is 436426-1-12-01. The public meeting will provide the community with the opportunity to be directly engaged in the planning and development process of both studies. The meeting will consist of a formal presentation followed by an open discussion. Staff will be available to answer questions as time permits, in the order received. If your question is not responded to during the event, a response will be provided in writing afterwards. Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
