	The The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), ANNOUNCES A Public Information Meeting TO WHICH ALL PERSONS ARE INVITED. announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

PLACE:	The in-person session will be at ArtServe Center, in the main Gallery Space. 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304. Subject:	State Road (SR) A1A/SE 17th Street from SR 5/US 1 to SR A1A/Seabreeze Boulevard, SR A1A/Seabreeze Boulevard from SR A1A/SE 17th Street to SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard, and SR 838/Sunrise Boulevard from SR A1A/Seabreeze Boulevard to SR 5/US 1 The project improvements consist of upgrading and installing a new fiber optic network; installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices including Closed-Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) controlled by wireless network devices; installing Bluetooth travel time devices along the corridor; installing two (2) Arterial Dynamic Messaging Signs (ADMS), and seven (7) Variable Speed Limit (VSL) Signs; upgrading Traffic Signal Vehicle Detection Systems along the corridor; and removing and reinstalling existing pavers where impacted by construction. Construction will begin in January 2024 and is estimated to be completed in spring 2025. The estimated construction cost is $9,138,494. The Construction Open House will be held virtually and in person. The virtual public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a brief presentation followed by questions and comments from the public. The in-person open house will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will have an informal open house format. FDOT staff and consultant staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
