Overview



	The Florida Department of Transportation, District Seven announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	January 23, 2024; Virtual: 1 – 6 p.m., In Person: 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Subject:	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven, invites you to attend and participate in a Virtual Public Meeting (VPM) covering the proposed improvements to US 41 from south of Withlacoochee Trail Bridge to north of N. Sportsman Point and from north of N. Sportsman Point to north of E. Arlington Street in Inverness, Citrus County, Florida. The Public Meeting will be held on January 23, 2024, at 5 p.m. Both projects, US 41 from S. of Withlacoochee Trail Br. to N of Sportsman Pt. and from N of Sportsman Pt. to E Arlington Street, will reconstruct and widen US 41 from the existing 2 lanes to a 4-lane road with median separation, including bike lanes, sidewalks, new bridges over the Withlacoochee Trail, a mid-block pedestrian crossing, and new pond sites. To allow for maximum participation, the public meeting will be held in two formats including online and in a drive-thru format at an in-person location. The information presented will be identical at both options. In-Person: Attend the drive-thru in person anytime from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Liberty Park, 268 N. Apopka Ave, Inverness, FL, 34450 Drive-thru attendees will be directed into a clearly identified parking lot, receive project information on a tablet. You will have the opportunity to submit comments as well as speak with the project team with any questions.
